Overview: What is a Journey?

The Customer Journey is the series of interactions between a customer and a company that occur as the customer pursues a specific goal.*

It's important to remember that journeys:

  • Belong to the taker.
  • Uncover emotions and explain behaviors.
  • Deliver end-to-end context.

This insight helps us:

  • Build a shared understanding of the experience.
  • Look across our own silos.
  • Uncover moments that matter most.
  • Highlight issues and roadblocks.
  • See the totality of the journey.
  • Recognize unmet needs to innovate and delight.
